I apologize to all, but sometimes things in our life have to take a backseat while we do other things! In January of this year 2012, we were hit by a tornado and lost our home of 34 years. We have been very blessed in the outcome of this catastrophe. We have moved to another part of the Birmingham area and are still getting settled in. I hope that I will be able to soon start posting card samples and get to having classes again on a regular basis. In the mean time, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and hope to post again real soon!Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07473665610992701724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170081297889398264.post-53354979113729152972009-09-01T15:05:00.000-07:002009-09-01T15:08:15.293-07:00Hello All,

It has been awhile since I have blogged anything. You do not have to remove stickers from bottle prior. It does peel off and does leave some adhesive. Rmove when you are ready to apply DSP and it will help it adhere it to the bottle. Using the sticky strip, apply strips on each end of the same side. This is the side that faces the bottle. (tip place lid on bottle and close tightly before glueing the paper to the bottle.) Remove the red peel from the tape and wrap around the bottle. I place it just at the small dots at the base of the bottle no lower than the dots. Rub around the bottle to help the paper top and bottom to mold to the jar. Then using the same method, apply your decorative strip around the DSP.

I used the cardstock stickers from the kit to decorate the top of the lid. I applied sticky strip around the edge of the cap and stuck my 6" of red ribbon around this. Starting and stopping where the seam from my DSP on the bottle is. This is why you tighten the cap before decorating the bottle.

Next wrap the 3 pieces of 15" grosgrain around the bottle neck and tie in a double knot.

Stamp your image on the one of the small white pieces you cut to layer on the mini chocolate chip card and glue the inside piece. This piece may not be needed if you use a lighter color cardstock instead of the chocolate chip I used on the sample. Punch a 1/8" hole in the top left of the inside of the card and set one eyelet. Attach the tag to the ribbon at the neck with the 5" linen thread.

Stamp an image on the 3 1 3/8" circles and glue to the two scallop circles. Punch hole and set eyelet in each scallop. Tie one end of the line thread to one scallop and loop the ribbon around the knot in the 3 grosgrains on the neck and then tie the other scallop on.

Fill bottle with whatever you can fit in it! Unshelled peanuts, shelled nuts, M & M's, candy corn, small candies. You could even put a recipe mix in it or for a craft man use screws, nails, or bolts, etc. There is no limit to gift ideas. If you just want to decorate a carton of the frappacino decorate the crate they come in also.

I am currently trying out a Yoo Hoo bottle since I am not a coffee drinker and the Yoo Hoo bottles are cheaper to purchase!
Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07473665610992701724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170081297889398264.post-47357984483272579352008-10-14T23:59:00.001-07:002008-10-15T00:08:38.260-07:00So much has gone on since I last updated my blog. Please forgive me for taking so long to update. Summer was such a blast this year. I attended my first Convention and got to walk for my 5 years! I have actually been a demonstrator for 6 years now. I have not taken a vacation for several years, so my mother and I used Convention as a good excuse and took a total of 25 days to travel out West and to see the beautiful sites our country has to offer. This included our time in Salt Lake City for Convention. It was so fantastic. Now I have to come off that cloud and get back into upkeeping my blog and website on a regular basis. Over the next couple of weeks I will be updating with a lot of my new creations and some I have cased from others. I will give credit to others when due, but if I leave your name out it is not intentional. I get a lot of my ideas from Splitcoaststampers and my gallery is listed under Weyekin2000. After, I get my sites updated, I will start uploading cards and projects to my gallery there also. My next entry will be pictures of my projects from my recent Christmas Stamp Camp and the instructions will be included. Thanks for visiting and if you like what you see, please share my info with other stampers!Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07473665610992701724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170081297889398264.post-67984781424482652072008-05-04T22:11:00.000-07:002008-05-04T22:15:36.328-07:00New Class ScheduleTuesday, May 6th
3:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Fee: $10.00
3 cards plus envelopes
Gardendale, AL

Tuesday, May 13th
2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Fee: $10.00
3 cards plus envelopes
Gardendale, AL

Monday, May 19th
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Fee: $10.00 if you bring your own adhesive, $12.00 if I provide.
All other supplies will be provided.
4 cards plus envelopes
Pinson, ALKarenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07473665610992701724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170081297889398264.post-17249837369126758782007-11-07T00:37:00.000-08:002008-12-11T17:59:00.460-08:00New Card Samples

Here are some more card samples that I have done for classes and swaps. Not all ideas are my own. I must give credit to the many persons that I case from and I would not purposely leave anyone out. I get my inspiration from the wonderful cards posted on Splitcoaststampers, the Stampin' Up! website, and from the catalog. I apologize for not giving direct credit to the creators, I don't know who you all are at this moment, but I do thank you for the awesome creations! I have provided links to the inspirations where I know them. Enjoy!

This card was designed by my upline Sharla Foy!

This card was a swap I did recently!

The idea for this card came from SCS.

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/637127?perpage=48&thumbsonly=0&thumbcheck=

Totally CASED! http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/681622?perpage=48&thumbsonly=0&thumbcheck=

Another take on the above card......

My uplines' upline received this in pink and guava in a swap!
